James (Jay) Palmer Littlejohn, in Toronto’s Office Leasing division, focuses on representing Tenants and Landlords using his expertise in leases and strong negotiating skills. Having worked for Brookfield Properties and Manulife Real Estate for seven years, he has considerable experience representing some of the largest landlords in Toronto and has been involved with over 7.0 million square feet of leasing with some of Canada’s most prestigious companies. Mr. Littlejohn has been involved with the renewal/expansion/merger of CI Mutual Funds through its growth with companies such as Spectrum, BPI, Assante and Synergy. He has represented significant landlords such as Brookfield Properties, Dundee Realty, Crown Realty Manulife and Davpart. Mr. Littlejohn has been involved in over 1,000 deals representing tenants with notable companies such as CN Rail, IIROC, FMG, Purolator Courier, CGI, Great West Life, General Electric and Cleveland Clinic. Mr. Littlejohn has been heavily involved with C&W’s Investment Division in formulating leasing strategies to optimize selling prices on buildings such as 40 Holly and 161 Eglinton. Mr. Littlejohn was hired by Hines in 2007 after they had purchased Atrium on Bay for $251 million. After successful lease-up the building was sold three years later for $347 million. Mr. Littlejohn holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.
